Summer in Australia is a time of warm weather, long days and being outdoors. Now that the fun of Christmas is behind us and the weather heats up it is the perfect time to get into the great outdoors and go camping.
Here are some tips to get the most out of the trip:
-
Pack wisely - Make sure to bring enough supplies for everyone, including food, water, and any necessary equipment. It's also a good idea to bring extra items like first aid kits, lots of sunscreen and insect repellent.
-
Set expectations - It's important to communicate with your group beforehand about what everyone's expectations are for the trip. Who will be doing the cooking, watching the kids in the creek, building firepits etc? Clearly agreeing on these seemingly small items can help prevent misunderstandings and ensure that everyone is on the same page.
-
Be flexible - Camping can be unpredictable, so it's important to be flexible and go with the flow. If something doesn't go as planned, try to find a solution rather than getting frustrated.
-
Respect each other's space - While you may be spending a lot of time together, it's important to respect each other's personal space and boundaries.
-
Have fun! - Above all, remember to relax and have fun. Camping is a great opportunity to bond with friends and enjoy the great outdoors.
Happy camping!
